We
have always had great respect and concern for our wonderful planet.
Indeed, it is our planet that provides us with all the amazing
landscapes, the cultures, the animals that make photography worthwhile.
That is why we feel it is important to build our business on a
foundation of sustainability ideals. Even in the age of digital
photography, there are plenty of opportunities to be more ecological.

Process
- Preference for shooting in natural, sunlight. When needed, flashes will run on rechargeable batteries.
- All digital equipment. No film, no chemicals in film development.
- We
will focus on developing our business only in the San Francisco Bay
Area. "Destination" shoots will be accompanied by the appropriate
carbon credits.
- Online paperless proofing process that is quicker and more convenient.
- Preference for paperless, online contracts. If required, only recycled paper will be used for printed contracts.

Products
- Traditional film photography uses Silver Halide (AgX) printing process that requires highly toxic paper. For digital prints, the current defacto printing solution is high quality inkjet. This method is a step in the right direction assuming that the right kind of paper is used. Current paper types include the most common 'tree-fiber', cotton rag and bamboo fiber. - We
are researching local preferred vendors that offer high quality,environment-friendly printing using low-impact materials: paper, ink,
etc.
- We will continue to refine our business processes and look for opportunities to reduce our impact on the planet.
